First, I'd like to thank you all for visiting Mars Import, and I hope you like what you've seen so far. Welcome, and enjoy!

Our Goals

Mars Import is a privately controlled C Corporation dedicated to offering the best comics in the world for sale, while providing good and friendly service in doing so. Our goal is to become the premier online shopping site for quality comics, graphic novels, and trade paperbacks.

Our History

Mars Import was founded in June of 1999 by Jared Smith, who is now President of Mars Import. Starting by offering a clear design and variety of excellent comic books for sale, Mars Import quickly expanded its customer base and offerings to several thousand titles (currently over 5000!), including a concentrated expansion into international comics, particularly the European comics field. At the end of 1999, Mars Import incorporated as a C Corporation, though it is still entirely owned and controlled by Jared Smith. Mars Import has continued to experience steady growth, and the website was redesigned and relaunched in 2002, by Steve Conley and Marty Baumann of Conley Interactive (http://www.conleyinteractive.com).

Hi everyone! I grew up reading comics, and I've written, drawn and edited comic books, published comics, and now I'm selling comics through Mars Import, which I founded in 1999. I even designed the first version of the website, until I hired someone to make one that actually looks good. We aim big, but Mars Import is still primarily a simple operation, so most of the day-to-day running of Mars Import is handled by myself, along with my faithful assistant GiGi, and the help of a rotating group of volunteers and freelancers (for the interviews, web design, and such). HIGHLIGHT

Donjon Parade 1: Un Donjon du Trop
A brand new book in Lewis Trondheim and Joann Sfar's Donjon series! This book starts a new series, with art by Manu Larcenet. A young monster approaches the dungeon, looking for work, only to be mistaken for the masseuse/doctor summoned by the head of the dungeon, and he is soon pulled into a behind-the-scenes tour of the innermost secrets of the dungeon, like how they lure in those pesky adventurers to their dooms, and how to keep the gnomes from killing the goblins. Humorous, violent fantasy fun.
